Our students are daring, dynamic, 和 defiant. They present a diversity of drama, 喜剧, 和 musical theatre each academic year—acting in, 唱歌在, 导演, 和 designing engaging productions—all right here in West Georgia. 歌曲 & 故事 和 The Sound of Music

Open to all 博彩平台推荐 students: Please prepare a monologue from a contemporary play 和 a song from a classic musical. The song should be from the classic muiscial repertoire (e.g. 罗杰斯 & Hammerstein, 罗杰斯 & 哈特,坎特 & Ebb, Styne, Gershwin, Berlin, etc.), not from a rock opera or jukebox musical.

Also prepare a 32-bar cut of an uptempo song or a 16-bar cut of a ballad. Please bring the piano score of the cut to the audition.

Venues 和 Facilities

Our main performance venue is the Townsend Center for the Performing Arts, located on 博彩平台推荐's 卡罗敦 Campus. Housing a mainstage 和 a black-box theatre, the Townsend is where students stage a range of productions, from large-scale musicals with orchestras to more intimate dramas. The facility also includes a fully-loaded scene shop 和 a variety of stage lighting so that students in the 博彩平台推荐剧院 Company experience what it is like to produce a show in a professional setting—和 our audiences have first-rate venues to enjoy each performance.

We also regularly partner with the 卡罗敦 Center for the Arts to host musicals in their 272-seat community theatre.

This 459-seat theatre, our largest performance venue, features a proscenium stage 和 orchestra pit.

This 170-seat intimate theatre, located in the Townsend Center for Performing Arts, is a versatile space that allows unique staging for each production, including theatre-in-the-round 和 other experimental layouts.

This renovated space is home to our 8,000 square-foot costume shop, 排演舞台, 化妆实验室. The stage features sprung floors, which help keep ankle 和 knee joints healthy, 和 a wall of mirrors.
